Why Did Dr. Ingallinera
Become a Dentist?
Growing up, Dr. Dave was drawn to science. He studied biology in college intending to find a calling in a medical career. His appreciation for dentistry developed after shadowing his younger brother’s orthodontist. For him, it was fascinating to watch the doctor physically transform the patient’s teeth into a new, healthier smile.
Where Did He Study Dentistry?
Dr. Dave received an undergraduate degree in biology from the University of California Riverside and then attended Northwestern University Dental School. After earning his degree, he completed a general practice residency and oral surgery externship.
In 2006 he became a fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD), a distinction achieved by about 6% of dentists in the US and Canada.
Outside of the Office,
What Does Dr. Ingallinera Like to Do?
Outside of the office Dr. Dave likes to spend his weekends relaxing with his wife, Debbie, and hanging out with their teenage son, Jack. When he was younger, Dr. Dave used to play basketball and run in local marathons but that proved to be hard on the knees. Nowadays, he plays golf and enjoys any outdoor activity along the gorgeous Chicago lakefront.
